Hi,
We have one large bedroom opening up for August 1 in a spacious, sunny 6BR duplex apartment in one of the most exciting and vibrant neighborhoods in Manhattan. The room has its own closet and its own doorway to a semi-private deck on the upper floor. It has an existing connection for cable and shares a private wireless network for broadband internet access.
The apartment also has a larger deck on the lower floor, perfect for get-togethers with friends and for grilling during the warm months. There are two bathrooms, one on each floor. The kitchen is full-sized with ample counter space and a large stove for eating in. There is a laundry room 20 feet from the front door of the apartment. The building features 24-hour security at the front door as well as two elevators. In addition to the two decks accessible from the apartment, there is roof deck open to the building that has a panoramic view of midtown and downtown.
The neighborhood is lively, eclectic, and ideally situated for exploring the city. There are several buslines within one to two blocks. The F and V trains stop just two blocks away. You will find nearly any cuisine you can imagine within a few minutes walking distance from the apartment. The nightlife in the East Village is unrivaled with every experience from lounge to club to karaoke to dive bar and everything in between available without paying for a cab or taking public transportation. For your cultural nourishment, there are theaters, both cinematic and stage, museums, and poetry readings at your fingertips.
Our ideal candidate is either female or male, between 25 and 35, a working professional, easy-going, social, and cool with the idea of sharing space and bills with like-minded people while having your own life. Most people see '6BR' and think 'Real World'. That's not us. We all have our own lives and if you join us, you will never feel like you can't get time to yourself. There will be many nights when you will find yourself able to enjoy the apartment's amenities and unwind in solitude. Our only prohibitions are no couples, and sadly, no pets.
